Implementation of Health Education into the school educational program of the church school

This thesis deals with the implementation of Health Education in the school curriculum of a church school. The aim of the thesis is to map the current relevance of Health Education, its importance and interdependence in the formal and informal curriculum of St. Augustine's schools - kindergarten, primary school and high school. The theoretical part contains basic information about the educational field of Man and Health, the educational field of Health Education and the didactic transformation of the school curriculum into educational reality. Another part is dedicated to the introduction of Augustinian schools, Augustinian pedagogy and important documents of the school. The final part explains the implementation of Education for Health in the school curricula of the kindergarten, primary school, and St. Augustine's Gymnasium. The aim of the practical part is to find out, through a questionnaire survey among pedagogical and non-teaching staff and parents of children, pupils and students of Augustinian schools, what their awareness of the content of Health Education is, how they perceive its importance and evaluate the implementation of Health Education in schools. Teaching the subject of religion at the 1st stage of church elementary school through the eyes of pupils

The diploma thesis deals with the religious education at the church elementary school in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part describes the church elementary school, its history and its relation to the Framework Education Program for the Elementary Education and to the official documents and then it describes the religious education itself from the perspective of the aims and contents. The next part describes the participants of the religious education - the teachers of religious education and the characteristics of the children in the 4th and 5th grade in terms of developmental psychology. The final chapter of the theoretical part is dedicated to the researches that were carried out in the church elementary schools and in the religious education. The practical part of my diploma thesis is devoted to the research, which was carried out by means of questionnaire method. The aim of the practical part was to find how pupils of the 4th and 5th grades at the church elementary school in Prague view the subject of religious education using the questionnaire construction. The results of the research show that the pupils have mostly a positive relationship toward the subject. They consider it as a rather relaxing and amusing subject. 1 Summary The aim of the Bachelor Thesis Media Education at Church School is to compare the Media Education requirements formulated in educational documents of the Czech Republic and the documents of the Catholic Church. The form of the Media Education at Czech schools is described in the Framing Educational Programme that was established after the school reform at the beginning of this century. Quite a lot of attention to the media is being given also by the church, especially in the documents Inter mirifica, Communio et progressio and Aetatis novae. The thesis focuses on the reasons why the Media Education is a component of the Czech educational system and the church documents too. It summarizes the basic Media Education requirements for both of these subjects. Finally, it compares similarities and differences between these requirements. Demand and supply on the market of secondary education in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis analyses demand and supply on the market of secondary education in the Czech Republic and it is focused on the differences between state and private schools. The thesis consist of the definition of technical terms, evolution and context of hitory of education, characterization of the specifics of marketing strategy and differences in the financing methods in state and private sector. Furthermore, the thesis includes statistic data of evolution of demand and supply of education. Practical part is focused on research at state and church grammar schools in the town of Kutná Hora and it includes interviews with the school headteachers and questionnaire-based research, which was conducted among pupils in the first year of high school studies.

Jiří Trunda ABSTRACT: The churches and religious denominations can become school and school facility founders. What are the specifics of the church schools from the management of education point of view, which this work deals with? And do these specifics actually exist? Do the tangible differences that clearly specify the church school against the school founded by the municipality, region or the union of municipalities exist? We will focus on the church grammar schools. There are twenty such grammar schools in the Czech Republic and almost all of them, were founded by the Roman Catholic Church. These institutions create a specific, not large group of schools that in addition to efforts to provide high-quality education strive for transfer of religious values. The work looks into the historical development of the church schools and describes their actual position in the regional education system. Then, using the qualitative research method - the analysis of the materials, it deals with the issues of the church schools management and capturing their specifics.
